The UKIPT League
I keep meaning to take part in the UKIPT League, but tend to always forget. While the tournaments run every night, it's only typically worth taking part if you play 20+ days in the month. Finally I've remembered about it at the start of the month and plan to play it as often as I can throughout October. The League is such great value and here's why:
- It's only open to UK players, meaning field sizes of 250-350 players (for Division 1) meaning it won't take all night to play and you won't have to beat 1,000s of players - just to cash.
- It's not a one-off tournament. Nightly games mean bad luck in the short-term won't dramatically affect your chances.
- Division 2 is FREE, so even if you can't afford to play Division 1 you still get a slice of the pie.
- The monthly leaderboard prizes, are simply some of the best around:
| Position | Division 1 | Division 2 |
| 1 | £300 + £1,300 UKIPT prize package | £50 + £770 UKIPT seat |
| 2 | £100 + £108.50 satellite ticket | £30 + £44 satellite ticket |
| 3 | £50 + £44 satellite ticket | £20 + £22 satellite ticket |
| 4 | £40 + £22 satellite ticket | £15 + 1 month of free Division 1 tickets |
| 5 | £30 + £5.50 satellite ticket | £10 + 1 month of free Division 1 tickets |
| 6-10 | £20 + £5.50 satellite ticket | £7.50 + 1 week of free Division 1 tickets |
| 11-25 | £15 + £5.50 satellite ticket | £5 + 1 week of free Division 1 tickets |
| 26-50 | £10 + £5.50 satellite ticket | £3 |
| 50-100 | £5 + £5.50 satellite ticket | £2 |
You get 1 point just for taking part, 5 points for cashing and anywhere from 10-20 points if you make the final table (20, 18, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10). Division 2 and Division 1 games start at 1900 and 1930 each night respectively. For more information visit the UKIPT League webpage.

I've become bored by my blog, which probably means my readers have too. I've become aware that I'm not really bringing anything new to the table, something that's essential to standing out. I read plenty of blogs too; some are the same old story and others have their own unique style. The latter are far more interesting to me and while I'm unsure what mine will be, but I refuse to keep churning out generic material. I see a lot of businesses fail for similar reasons, trying to compete in crowded markets - without innovating. I'm smart enough to know better. Read

Aside from the regular tournaments I can't bear to miss, the usual STEP SNGs and perhaps the UKIPT League (again) - I'm completely undecided on what to play next month. I'm also a little bored of Hold'em lately, so I figured I'd let you decide what I play throughout November!
